This Sunday we will explore some of the key breathing techniques or Pranayama exercises that can help reduce stress, ease depression and calm anxiety. It can also help use your lungs to the full capacity and can support energy shift in your body.
Prana means life force or breath sustaining the body; Ayama translates as "to extend or draw out." Together two mean breath extension or control (Yoga Journal). On Sunday evening I will introduce you to 3 different breathing techniques that can help you stay present at any time of the day. We also discuss why it is so important to practice deep breathing.
These breathing techniques not only help me calm myself down in a stressful situation but also help me navigate in my everyday life.
